Guest speaker Geraldine Spencer, Outreach Co-Ordinator for New Forest Disability advised us about the free services this charity provides for local residents. The advice given covers a broad spectrum of topics, including information and application assistance for the Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payments, Attendance Allowance, Carers Allowance and Employment & Support Allowance.
Approved by the office for the Department of Work and Pensions, we can feel reassured that New Forest Disability provides accurate, imparital and confidential advice to people of any age affected by disability.

August Group Meeting
Guest speaker Amy Tite, Hearing Aid Dispenser, gave an informative talk on the link between tinnitus and hearing loss. She provided detailed explainations as to why wearing hearing aids can alleviate tinnitus in addition to improving hearing.
June Group Meeting
Guest speaker Dr Susan McCormack, Hearing Therapist.
In support of the British Tinnitus Associations fundraising campaign, at our group meeting on 9th June we held a 'Tea for Tinnitus' fundraising bake sale. With donations for cakes, a 'guess the weight of the cake' competition and a little top up from the committee we raised £50 for the British Tinnitus Association.
